BANGUI (LNC) – It is a massive scandal that actually shakes the very highest levels of the state in CAR. Along with the complicity of the new power and also of the international community in Bangui, Karim Meckassoua has corrupted the majority deputies to vote for him as the new CAR Parliament Speaker.
The so called International community in Bangui had forced the Transitional constitutional Court of CAR, to cancelthe legislative elections hold on December 30, 2015; for the sole reason that candidate Karim Meckassoua was not elected, but soundly beaten by his challenger Lazare Ndjadder.
That was with bid-rigging that next time Meckassoua will be “elected” or rather said“appointed” as deputy.
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY’S ORDER : “1- A CHRISTIAN AS PRESIDENT, 2- A MUSLIM AS PARLIAMENT SPEAKER
The morning of May 6, several ambassadors and representatives of international organisations were seen at the Headquarters of the National Assembly, where they met various political leaders to tell them this:
“Meckassoua must be the Speaker of your Parliament. If not, we will not afford you the necessary financial assistance for your most sensitive projects like the DDR process, the RSS process, the redeployment of the State administration in the provinces, help to restore government authority or means to end impunity in CAR”.
The door then was widely opened to ease Meckassoua’s electoral boondoggle and trick.
In the night of Thursday 5 until morning of Friday 6, Meckassoua paid off deputies by offering to each of them 1.500.000 CFA Franc, and with a promise of a 4×4 vehicle.
65 out of a total 127 votes was brokered during a meeting hold on this Thursday night.
