Sub:- US Congress members of TLHRC and Christianity (including of West and India) should hang their head in shame on repeated attacks on Christians in India.
---- Continuation of violence against Christians in Chhattisgarh despite letter of TLHRC to pro-Hindutva PM Modi is nothing less than thumbing nose by Hindutva goons at US Congress. As reported by prominent Indian media Arun Pannalal, the President of Chhattisgarh Christian Forum, alleged that – “[The attack on a Church in Khamaridh area of Raipur in the State of Chhatisgarh was carried out on Sunday (in which five people were injured) by Bajrang Dal men who forcefully entered the Church and vandalized it and ripped off women’s clothes and threw a two-year-old boy on the ground and desecrated the Bible and some of the pictures that were hung on the wall and this is the fourth attack on churchgoers in Chhattisgarh in the past five weeks. Attackers were chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and were making allegations of religious conversion]”.
The US Congress members of ‘The Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission’ (TLHRC) paid lip service on February 25, 2016 when they wrote letter to Indian PM Modi relaying their so-called grave concerns about the increasing intolerance and violence experienced by members of India's religious minority communities. But Christianity including of powerful West and other Christian majority countries and also Indian Christianity / Christians (who do not even reply to any offer of help in this matter) simply do not bother what happens to these beleaguered Christians of India.
Therefore US Congress members and Christianity should hang their head in shame on repeated attacks on Christians in India especially when this problem can easily be solved through ‘Participatory Philanthropic Institutions’ (PPI) and instead of Optional Protocol OP-1 the Mandatory Protocol MP-1 of ICCPR at UN (movable by beleaguered citizens of member countries) as mentioned at:-
