The Director General of IRCICA made welcoming remarks and expressed the gratitude of IRCICA for having had the honor to host at its headquarters two important OIC meetings in a row namely OIC-UN Cooperation Meeting and Mid-Term review meeting of the TYPOA.
In his opening remarks, the Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs underlined the reforms undertaken within the OIC since the adoption of the Programme. He commended the outstanding leadership of HE the Secretary General of the OIC in implementing these reforms making the OIC a household name at both regional and International arenas.
He noted that although substantial progress has been made in the implementation of TYPOA in the last five years, there was still room for improvements.
He therefore called upon the participants to have a critical look at the Programme, evaluate the achievements registered so far, identify the constraints and propose ways and means of effective implementation of the Programme within the remaining five years.
